Dr Martens and Creepers are now ‘it’ shoes and tiny 14 year old spoiled fashionistas are now ‘DYING’ to wear them. And some of them want to die because the pair they ordered is in the wrong size and their lives are literally over. LITERALLY!

Also I’ve learned that you can’t wear docs with jeans or plaid, only with floral skirts and dresses, because it will make you look ‘Lesbianish’. 

Well thank you posh fashionista lady for warning me! Heaven forfend, I wouldn’t want to go out looking like a lesbian!

LOL, that’s silly, you will not look like a lesbian. You will straight up look like a MAN. Here is a true story from my life:

One day in college I wore my Dr Martens, and I got a headache, so I went to sit in a bathroom stall and feel sorry for myself for 10 minutes or so. While I was in there, I heard someone, presumably a girl, come swish-swishing in wearing flip flops. I wasn’t looking, but I could hear her come in, pass me, then afterwards, she washed up and stood around a little, then went past me again and out. A minute later I heard the same swish-swish run up to the outer bathroom door and then run away again. Weird. Anyway, my break was over, so I went out, and outside the door, on the floor in the hall was a note to the effect of:

THERE IS A MAN IN THE LADIES ROOM!

NOT EVEN JOKING!!!

I can only guess that when I thought she was fixing her hair or whatever, she was actually scrutinizing my shoes (the only part of me she could see) and slowly coming to the conclusion that no female, not even a lesbian, would ever wear them.

The Moral: Unless you want to look like a man, man [/austin powers], don’t wear Dr Martens!

The Alternate Moral: People are ridiculous Dr Martens are great, and I wish I’d kept that note!

Fuck those people. Seriously. 

I have been wearing Dr Martens, jeans and plaid since I was eleven years old. I am pretty sure that makes me a hipster and not a lesbian.
